The problem we are addressing

Less searching.
A clearer picture.

Preparing for an audit can mean bringing together an office manual, policy versions, training records and evidence from different places. A well-written policy alone does not establish that a procedure has been followed.

Our initial focus is audit preparation and evidence management, beginning with the needs of practices working with the Specialist Quality Mark (SQM). The aim is to make evidence easier to locate, review and explain.

Initial development focus

Audit preparation,
connected to the evidence.

We are exploring one focused workflow that brings policy organisation and audit preparation together. These are the capabilities we aim to develop and evaluate.

01 / ORGANISE

Map the requirements

Connect each requirement to relevant policies and source records, with a clear reference back to the material being reviewed.

02 / REVIEW

Make gaps visible

Distinguish available evidence from missing records, outdated documents and points that need a person's judgment.

03 / PREPARE

Build a reviewable pack

Bring the evidence index, outstanding actions and review notes together for the firm's responsible reviewer.

REVIEW QUESTION

Can the firm evidence completion of its planned staff training?

SOURCE MATERIAL

Training policy, attendance records and the current training register.

REVIEW ACTIONEvidence to confirm

One attendance record is missing. Ask the record owner to confirm it before the pack is finalised.

This illustrates the proposed approach. It is not a product screenshot, an SQM finding or confirmation of compliance.

Development approach

Progress measured by proof.

We are inviting conversations about the problem and the proposed workflow. A generally available software product, launch date and pricing are not being announced at this stage.

INITIAL FOCUS

Define and evaluate

Set a clear scope and assess evidence traceability, completeness and the total time needed for preparation and checking.

PROPOSED NEXT STAGE

Limited pilots

Agree a defined use case with participating firms, including the review process, data arrangements and measures of success before work begins.

SUBJECT TO RESULTS

Consider wider availability

Use the findings to decide whether a supported service or licensed tool would be useful, reliable and commercially sustainable.

Any future pilot would have an agreed scope and terms. Registering interest does not commit you to a purchase or guarantee a pilot place.

Principles guiding development

Professional judgment.
Visible evidence.

Our design priorities are practical: help people understand the material, identify uncertainty and retain control over the result.

TRACEABILITY

Keep the source in view

Proposed outputs should identify their supporting records and make missing or conflicting information clear.

OVERSIGHT

Make review meaningful

AI-assisted organisation or drafting should remain subject to an appropriate person's checks. Audit conclusions require professional assessment.

DATA HANDLING

Agree safeguards first

Access, confidentiality, retention and permitted uses of information must be addressed before a pilot uses firm or client records.

Help shape the programme

Start with your
audit challenge.

We welcome expressions of interest from law firms and practice managers who can help define a useful pilot, and from development partners with relevant technical experience.

Tell us what takes time, where evidence is difficult to find and what a useful outcome would look like for your firm.

Questions, answered

A clear starting point.

Can I buy or access the software now?

This page introduces a development programme and invites expressions of interest. It does not offer a generally available software product. Any demonstration or pilot would be arranged separately, with its scope and current capabilities explained.

Will it guarantee a successful audit?

No. Organising evidence cannot establish compliance on its own or guarantee an audit result. The firm remains responsible for its processes, records and professional review.

Will it replace our case management system?

That is not the present focus. We are exploring a defined audit-preparation workflow. Compatibility and any integration requirements would need to be assessed before a pilot; no particular integration is promised.

What would a pilot measure?

The proposed measures are total preparation and review time, the accuracy of source references, completeness of the evidence index and how effectively missing evidence is identified. Criteria would be agreed before the pilot begins.

What about the other tools previously described?

Ideas relating to document preparation, client journeys and dispute workflows remain areas for possible future exploration. They are not being offered as available products. Our initial focus is audit preparation and evidence management.

Built around a working practice.
The programme draws on Jagdev Legal's experience of legal work and practice management. Any wider offering will depend on evaluation and feedback.
